Reasons Not to Copy
True ways to copy would be to copy the essence, the
very underlying principles of design, than copying
(re-allocating) the superficial: the manifestations
of those principles made to work.
Every instance of manifestation, outlined by the
given circumstances and desired critieras yield
a slight different looking plant, while with the principle
altered, an much more different set of results
would emerge.
Reasons a lot of RTS and MMORPG simply
cannot match some more epic ones in design
(and not due to missing finance) due to the
faulty way of copying: copying exactly
what Sally does putting on make-up
and without learning her methods. Now
Jessy's tongues and noses are red and
covered in lipstick as well due to the exact
copying that's very perfectly executed.
